The majority is still out of reach of the BJP

After the fall of the Kumaraswamy government in confidence vote, there was a certainty that his oath as chief minister was only a matter of time. However the BJP's central leadership intervened and asked Yedurappa to move slow. The high command said there is not need to go quickly on CM seat. An observer from Delhi will be sent to Karnataka to review the sitatuion.

BJP sources said that the next chief minister will be under his care, starting from the polls. Yedurappa has fallen into the trap. Even his very supporters do not claim that his image is very clean, especially since there are many allegations of corruption against him. Moreover, he is president of the state BJP, but inside the party, his leadership is angry.

The overall situation is not very pleasant for Yeddyurappa. The Speaker of the Legislature has not yet come to a final decision with the resigned MLAs. As a result, the BJP is the largest party in the legislature right now, but they are a few steps away from the majority.
