Afghan Taliban frees three Indian engineers

The engineers were part of a group of seven Indians kidnapped in May 2018, while working on a power plant in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province. Several media reports have said that the Taliban prisoners were reportedly freed from Bagram airbase but there has been no official statement yet.There’s a long history of Indian workers being kidnapped in Afghanistan since 2003. The first few were killed within 24hrs, various others were released after gruelling negotiations & cash transfers.
