2005 batch IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe has been transferred for the 15th time in his career. Mahaviks Aghadi govt on Wednesday transferred Mundhe due to pressures from various quarters including its own leaders.
Known for the no-nonsense image, IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe has been transferred from Nagpur to Mumbai. Just 8months back Mundhe had taken charge of Nagpur Corporation. Now Mundhe has been given charge as Members secretary of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran in Mumbai city.

25th August 2020 he was tested positive for Covid.
During his tenure as Navi Mumbai Municipal Commissioner, the program "Walk With Commissioner" became popular. Since being hired, he has fired several volunteers. Many officers were suspended due to misconduct, irregularities in work etc. Not stopping there, he recognized the traffic congestion in Navi Mumbai, cracked down on street vendors and unauthorized vendors, which not only made Navi Mumbaikars happy, but also angered many. The people took to the streets to demand his replacement.
