However this causes displeasure in Scindia supporters. Despite being a member of the BJP for three years, Union Minister Scindia failed to gain the trust of the party leadership. Instead ,  Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the elections in the MP region, he is made
convenor of its State Election Management Committee for the Assembly polls slated to be held later this year.

Party insiders believe that even if you are in a position of influence, it does not guarantee your loyalty to the BJP. The top leadership of the BJP and the Sangh are skeptical about someone who was in the Congress for five decades left it and  joined the BJP , How can he be trusted in a three year tenure ?

Another source mentioned that the selection of Mr. Tomar as the committee's convenor indicates a shift towards the central government assuming direct authority over matters concerning elections, instead of depending on any face, as was the situation in 2018.

It is also evident that Narendra Singh Tomar  being given the responsibility instead of Scindia will cause displeasure among the Scindia supporters.

SCINDIA supporters need at least 30 tickets out of 230 seats, but it is not an easy task now.

Apart from the Chambal region, Scindia  supporters have strong contenders in Malwa, Vindhya, and Mahakaushal.
