On Sunday, Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy revealed a startling assertion, stating that the Congress government in Karnataka is on the brink of collapse at any moment. Consequently, he expressed his intention to leave the party.
Kumaraswamy disclosed that a prominent minister within the ruling Congress party is contemplating a switch to the BJP to evade legal challenges initiated by the Centre. He asserted that this minister, along with '50 to 60 MLAs,' might defect from the Congress and align with the BJP. According to him, discussions with BJP leaders are underway.
Signs of Trouble Addressing reporters, the JDS leader highlighted the precarious state of affairs within the Congress government, emphasizing that the exact timing of its potential downfall remains uncertain. He disclosed that a minister is urgently seeking refuge from legal cases filed against him.
No Minor Player... Kumaraswamy underscored that the Center has filed cases against the minister that offer no room for escape. When pressed for the leader's identity, he asserted that such strategic moves cannot be expected from minor figures; only individuals with influence can orchestrate such actions.
Imminent Political Turmoil in Karnataka The JD(S) state president cautioned that a scenario akin to Maharashtra's political developments could unfold in Karnataka at any moment. He emphasized that, given the current political climate, unpredictable events are on the horizon.
