Delhi Police Arrests Suspected Deepfake Creator of Rashmika Mandanna Video – Latest Updates on High-Profile Case

On Saturday, the Delhi Police apprehended an individual in Andhra Pradesh linked to the widespread dissemination of a deepfake video featuring actor Rashmika Mandanna on social media. The arrested individual, believed to be the video's creator, has been transported to Delhi and is currently undergoing interrogation, as per an official statement. Following the FIR registration, the IFSO Unit reached out to Meta, seeking the URL and other pertinent details to identify the individual responsible for creating and disseminating the video on social media. Officials have indicated that this collaborative effort aims to further investigate the matter.
