ED Issues New Summons to RJD Leader Lalu Prasad and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav in Connection with Railways Land-for-Jobs Money Laundering Case. The Alleged Scam Relates to the Time When Prasad Held the Position of Railway Minister in the UPA-1 Government.
RJD leader Lalu Prasad and his son, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, have been freshly summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged money laundering case related to the exchange of railway land for jobs. The purported scam is linked to the period when Prasad served as the railway minister in the UPA-1 government.
Official sources revealed that the ED is set to file charges against Lalu and Tejashwi in the land-for-jobs case, prompting the issuance of new summons. Lalu Prasad is required to appear for questioning on January 29, while Tejashwi has been called in the following day, January 30. A team from the ED visited the official residence of Prasad's wife and former Bihar Chief Minister, Rabri Devi, in Patna to deliver the summons.
