BENGALURU: According to Indian Express , K Mathai, Administrative Officer and Under Secretary to Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) met Chief Secretary Subhash Chandra Khuntia on Monday and lodged a complaint demanding action against IAS officers who allegedly harassed him.
Mathai recently filed a complaint with the Lokayukta, accusing senior IAS officers of harassing him, leading to severe mental agony and untold hardship. Mathai alleged that former BBMP commissioner M Lakshminarayana, currently the principal secretary of Public Works Department, and Sakala Mission Director Kalpana had harassed him. He had also stated that there was a threat to his life from the IAS officers against whom he had complained to the Lokayukta.Mathai accused Lakshminarayana of making adverse remarks in his confidential report on his (Mathai) service records pertaining to the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 with an ulterior motive, despite rendering exemplary service in the BBMP’s Advertisement department.
Mathai requested the Chief Secretary to take action against a proposal to reopen a departmental inquiry against him. The inquiry was closed by the government but it was being reopened by the under secretary of the revenue department only to harass him, Mathai said.
