Receiving abusive, offensive messages on WhatsApp? Here’s what you can do now!

New Delhi: Offensive, threatening messages on WhatsApp? Fret Not as now you can file a complaint with the Department of Telecom (DoT) against such offensive messages received on WhatsApp.

If anyone is receiving abusive/offensive/death threats/ vulgar whatsapp messages ,please send screen shots of the message along with the mobile numbers at ccaddn-dot@nic.in

We will take it up with the telecom operators and police heads for necessary action.

Department of Telecom has also asked Telecom Operators Mobile Service Providers to discontinue use of #Aadhaar for Sim Card Verification / New Postpaid or Prepaid Mobile Connection / SIM Replacement.
