An Israeli Spy Firm Accuses India of Election Interference in Over 30 Countries; Digvijay Singh, Senior Congress Leader, Questions the Use of Electronic Voting Machines and Calls for VVPAT Slips to Be Placed in Separate Ballot Box to Ensure Election Transparency.
The Israeli spy firm, which recently made accusations of Indian interference in the elections of over 30 countries around the world, has caused an uproar in the political atmosphere of India. In response, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, has raised concerns about the Electronic Polling Machine (EVM) and demanded that voters keep their Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slip in a separate ballot box during elections to ensure transparency.
According to a recent report, Israeli firms spread fake media through an apparent channel in around 30 countries, including India, which could have influenced elections. Singh, in a series of tweets, made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party, claiming that they rigged elections and demanded that VVPAT slips be given to the voter instead of being put in the ballot box after showing the second count, and then the VVPAT slip should be placed in a separate ballot box without the chip.
Singh believes that machines that use a chip can be easily hacked and has previously raised questions about the use of EVMs. He claims that most political parties in India do not trust the Election Commission and calls for more transparency in the election process.
The accusations of Israeli interference have raised concerns about the integrity of elections, and many have called for increased security measures and transparency in the election process. The Indian government has yet to respond to the allegations, and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming weeks.
