The BJP is desperately trying to avoid a defeat similar to Himachal Pradesh elections. Assembly polls in MP and Haryana are scheduled in 2023 and 2024. In both the states BJP is getting a strong competition from Congress. Modi himself is visiting MP to influence the voters but insiders believe that it's a tough competition and both the CM's have the same fate. Shivraj Singh has started many new schemes in the poll bound MP to balance the voters sentiments.
In 2018 BJP was only able to get 109 seats out of 230 and Congress got 114 seats ,BJP was later able to engineer a split in the Congress and come back to power under the leadership of shivraj singh chouhan.
Meanwhile Haryana , CM Khattar is facing heat from Jats Ahirs and Brahmins. These communities can make Khattar face defeat in Haryana.
BJP has a tendency to change CM just before polls but that is not seen in the cards yet for Shivraj and Khattar.
