Mass resignation of Doctors in Bengal

More than 700 govt doctors in West Bengal tendered resignations in solidarity with their striking junior colleagues, The government appeared rudderless for most part of the day and Mamta remained mum.
Already battling criticism over her handling of the protest by doctors in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was in for more embarrassment. A day after Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim’s daughter Shabba Hakim took to Facebook to support protesting doctors, Banerjee’s nephew Abesh was seen leading a strike at KPC Hospital in Kolkata. He is a student at the KPC medical college and hospital.

A combative West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday sent a strong message to her detractors on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, saying "whoever messes with us will be decimated".
Banerjee, whose Trinamool Congress suffered reverses in the recent Lok Sabha elections, greeted people at Red Road here where a crowd of over 25,000 had gathered to offer 'namaz'. She is been trolled in Tik Tok for her anger against publich chanting Jai Sri Ram, She is running her own business in west Bengal.

Magnitude 5.5 #Earthquake today in #Assam, tremors felt in West Bengal

An earthquake with magnitude 5.5 on the Richter Scale hit Kokrajar, Assam at 10.20 AM Wednesday. Strong tremors were felt across the Northeast as well as in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Locals in Guwahati said the tremors lasted for about 10 seconds. Tremors were also felt in parts of Bangladesh and in Bihar. There were no immediate reports of any damages.

Earlier today, light tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir as well as in Haryana. An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 occurred at 5.43 am in Jhajjar, Haryana while an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter Scale occurred at 5.15 am in Jammu and Kashmir.
