The festival organized every year in August showcases the rich cultural and traditional heritage of Gurez Valley in Bandipora district. However, this year the festival was organized after a gap of four years. The festival will conclude on 7 August.
During the inaugural ceremony, different cultural programmes were presented by local artists.
Talking to reporters on the sideline of the function, MoS tourism, Priya Sethi said that Gurez Valley has a tremendous potential for tourism and the government would do everything to promote tourism in Gurez.
