Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh rebuts 'alcohol traces in blood' theory, says Sridevi abhorred hard liquor

After an autopsy communique released by the Dubai Forensic Department said that traces of alcohol were found in Sridevi's body, politician Amar Singh told news agencies that she never consumed hard liquor. Sridevi was in UAE for her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding at the time of her death on February 24. The autopsy report, carried by Khaleej Times, stated that Sridevi died due to "accidental drowning" in a bathtub in her hotel. Initial reports, however, suggested that Sridevi suffered a massive cardiac arrest.Amar Singh, meanwhile, also said that he has spoken to Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Al Nahyan and that Sridevi's mortal remains is expected to arrive by midnight.


Meanwhile, Sridevi's death case has been transferred to Dubai Public Prosecution, which will carry out regular legal procedures followed in such cases.
