C S Puttaraju is a powerful Indian politician from Mandya, Karnataka. He is currently a minister in H D Kumaraswamy led government in Karnataka. He had defeated Ramya, the alleged girlfriend of Rahul Gandhi, from Mandya in 2014 General Election. Later, Puttaraju resigned and fought Assembly Election and won handsomely from Melukote Constituency.Puttaraju is also known for amassing huge wealth. He is considered the prime financer of JDS.
