Supriya Shrinate is an Indian politician and journalist. It may be idiotic to write ‘journalist’ and ‘politician’ in the same line. However, that fits well with Supriya. She was the Executive Editor of ET Now and was propagating the propaganda of Congress Party. She had recently interviewed Raghuram Rajan and goaded the later to approve Rahul Gandhi’s NYAY scheme.
Supriya was lobbying for Congress ticket from Maharajganj Constituency since last few months. She has now been given ticket when the party revoked the candidature of Tanushree Tripathi. While lobbying for ticket, she was working as a journalist. In a nutshell, she was shamelessly abusing the profession of journalism.
A journalist can become a politician. There are many like Arun Shourie, M J Akbar and Shazia Ilmi, among others. However, there must be a cooling off period. You should not join a political party just after resigning from your profession.
Educational Qualification: Schooling from Loreto Convent, Lucknow. Graduate from Delhi University (Lady Shriram College).
Awards and Recognition: Supriya had worked with many news organizations, including India Today, NDTV and Economic Times. Her stint with ET Now was stupendous. Her tilt towards Congress happened only six months back and since then she had used her studio to propagate falsehood against Narendra Modi.
