NEW DELHI: The ISRO Commerce Department has earned Rs 6,289 crore from launching artificial satellites into space in the last three years alone. During this period, ISRO 239 satellites were launched into space. The matter was announced in parliament on Wednesday.
Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for the Prime Minister's Office in the Lok Sabha, informed the House in reply to a question. New Spice India Limited has been set up on March 6, 2019 to further enhance the commercial potential of space research under the Government Space Department.
