Earlier, on the Ayodhya case, Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice S.K. a. Bobde, Justice Dhananjay Y. Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice S.K. Security was also extended by the Delhi Police outside Abdul Nazir's homes.

The security agencies had termed Justice Nazir as a threat from the PFI. The letter of the Ministry states that wherever he goes in the state, he will be provided with Z category security from the quota of Karnataka state. The security of his family will also be increased.
