There are talks in power corridors that Narendra Singh Tomar is the front runner for CM post if BJP returns to power in Madhya Pradesh. He is the Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Minister of Rural Development in the Modi ministry. Tomar started his career in politics as a student in 1980. He was elected to Madhya Pradesh Assembly twice between 1998 and 2008 and served as a Cabinet minister in the state government between 2003 and 2007. In 2006, he was made the president of Madhya Pradesh BJP. In 2014, he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Gwalior constituency.
