Shashi Tharoor says he is saddened by Sachin Pilot leaving the Congress. He was their best and brightest leader. Tharoor's response was via Twitter.
'I am saddened that Sachin Pilot is leaving the Congress. I consider him our best and brightest leader. I wish this situation had not occurred. Instead of leaving the party, he should take part in trying to use the party to make his and our dreams come true, ”Tharoor tweeted.
This is the first time a Congress leader has publicly reacted to Sachin Pilot leaving the party. Pilot was removed from the post of Rajasthan PCC president and deputy chief minister but was not expelled from the party. He is also reported to be trying to form a new party. The pilot said he would hold a press conference on Wednesday morning to explain things.
Pilot's supporters have already been removed from the ministry and party ranks.
