BJP-IPFT coalition government, led by Manik Saha, will take the oath of office and secrecy in Tripura.

On Wednesday, the BJP-IPFT coalition government, led by Manik Saha, will take the oath of office and secrecy in Tripura. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the ceremony, while the opposition Left and Congress parties will not participate to demonstrate their objection to the post-poll violence in the northeastern state.

According to a senior BJP leader, the council of ministers, led by Manik Saha, will take the oath during the day. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda have already arrived in Tripura to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-led government.

The ceremony will take place at the Vivekananda ground, where Manik Saha will take the oath as the chief minister of the state for the second time. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Tripura from Guwahati around 10.35 am.

As per BJP Tripura unit chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty, this is the first time that any anti-Left government has retained power in the northeastern state in the past three decades. Chakraborty hopes that the new BJP 2.0 government will fulfill the aspirations of the people.
