Today at 10 am, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to speak at the ‘PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM VIKAS)’ post-budget webinar. The webinar is part of a series of 12 organized by the Government of India to gather suggestions and ideas for effective implementation of the initiatives announced in the Union Budget. The ‘PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM VIKAS)’ program aims to improve the quality, scale, and reach of products and services of artisans and craftspeople by integrating them into domestic and global value chains. The webinar will feature four breakout sessions covering topics such as access to affordable finance, advanced skill training, marketing support for linkages with domestic and global markets, and the structure of the scheme, identification of beneficiaries, and implementation framework. Along with ministers and secretaries of concerned central government ministries, various stakeholders from the industry, artisans, financial institutions, experts, entrepreneurs, and associations, along with officials of state governments and attached offices of the Ministries of MSME and Textiles, will attend the webinar and provide suggestions for better implementation of the budgetary announcement. The Prime Minister’s Office announced that the Prime Minister will speak about how the budget has given great importance to skilling and the opportunities it will create for people.
