Dehradun Chlorine Gas leak

On Tuesday morning, an occurrence of chlorine gas leakage in the Jhanjra area, falling under the jurisdiction of Prem Nagar police station in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, led to a state of alarm among residents who experienced breathing difficulties. Authorities promptly evacuated the residents, ensuring their relocation to a secure location.
On receiving information, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh, local police teams, fire tenders and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams rushed to the spot.
Upon being alerted about individuals encountering respiratory issues resulting from a chlorine cylinder leak situated in an unoccupied plot within the Jhanjra area of the Prem Nagar police station in Dehradun, the Police, along with the NDRF, SDRF, and fire brigade teams, swiftly arrived at the scene. They are currently engaged in measures for the safe disposal of the hazard.
