Who is Karan Bhushan Singh?

Karan Bhushan Singh, the younger son of Brij Bhushan Singh, is set to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Kaiserganj constituency on a BJP ticket. A former national-level shooter, Karan Bhushan Singh is making his political debut in a seat that has been a stronghold for his family, with his father having won it three times consecutively.
Karan Bhushan Singh's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and a law degree from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad. He also holds a diploma in business management from Australia and is currently the president of the Uttar Pradesh wrestling association.

The decision to field Karan Bhushan Singh comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment against his father, Brij Bhushan Singh, by several women wrestlers, including Olympic medallists. Despite the controversy, the BJP has shown confidence in the younger Singh to carry forward the party's legacy in Kaiserganj.

Karan Bhushan Singh is expected to file his nomination papers on May 3, with the constituency going to polls on May 20, in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The political scenario in Kaiserganj is heating up as the young debutant steps into the fray, aiming to retain the seat for the BJP amidst the challenges ahead.
