Who is Gangster Harpreet Singh alias Passia arrested in US ?

 Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passia or Jora, is an Indian gangster and alleged terrorist arrested in Sacramento, California, on April 17, 2025, by the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Wanted by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) with a Rs 5 lakh bounty, Singh is accused of orchestrating 14 terror attacks in Punjab, including a 2024 Chandigarh grenade attack targeting a retired police officer’s residence. He is linked to the banned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), collaborating with Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Singh Sandhu, alias Rinda.




Singh, who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico in 2021, evaded capture using burner phones and encrypted apps. He faces 17 criminal cases in India under anti-terror, drug, and explosive substance laws, including charges for murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy. The NIA chargesheeted him in March 2025 for his role as a key conspirator providing logistical support, funds, and weapons for terror activities. Currently in ICE custody, Singh may contest deportation, while Indian authorities pursue extradition. His arrest highlights international cooperation in tackling cross-border terrorism.
