NDTV suspends deputy news editor, AMU suspends student for social media comments on #PulwamaAttack

NDTV today suspended its deputy news editor for posting something about the "tragic and dastardly Pulwama terror attack" on her personal Facebook page. The media house also said it "strongly condemned" her action

In a similar instance, Aligarh Muslim University suspended one of its students for tweeting "highly objectionable comments on social media against our martyr soldiers" in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack. The mathematics student had posted "How's the Jaish? Great Sir #Kashmir" on Twitter. He has also been booked under Section 153A of the IPC and Section 67A of the IT Act.

AMU said the student was suspended as he had committed "acts of indiscipline and misconduct" under sections of its AMU Students' Conduct & Discipline Rules, 1985.

Actor Imran Khan's directorial debut short film ‘Mission Mars: Keep Walking India’

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na actor Imran Khan has turned director for a short film titled Mission Mars: Keep Walking India.

“It has been an enriching experience writing and directing this tribute to India’s commitment to progress, and for this to be backed by Johnnie Walker — The Journey and Dharma 2.0 made it even more special,” Khan said in a statement.

“Mission Mars has made all of us so proud, and I have tried to encapsulate the spirit of all those who made this achievement possible,” he added.

The movie is inspired by India’s rover successfully orbiting Mars and comes on the eve of its fourth anniversary. The film also stars Prakash Belawadi, Abhishek Saha and Sonali Sachdev.

It is scheduled to be digitally released on September 20.

Imran Khan married again: Party confirms former Pakistani cricketer has tied the knot for the third time

On Sunday, the official Twitter account of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) tweeted that Imran Khan had got married.

They wrote on Twitter: “Congratulation to Chairman @ImranKhanPTI on his marriage, we wish a happy and prosperous life ahead to Imran Khan and his wife.”

The identity of his wife is believed to be Bushra Maneka, a spiritual advisor. His impending nuptials had become a huge controversy in Pakistan, and he had blasted rivals and defended himself on Twitter.
