Iran‬, ‪Israel‬, ‪Benjamin Netanyahu‬, ‪Syria‬, ‪Islamic republic

The Republican said the end of the Islamic Republic is in sight, saying the regime could be kicked out of power “in the blink of an eye”.

Protests in the country have continued this month after first erupting late last year due to anger at soaring unemployment and economic problems.

These spiralled into bigger demonstrations as citizens vented their anger at the regime ruled by religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

But despite Tehran clamping down on the protests, with hundreds of demonstrators rounded up and arrested, Mr Rohrabacher said they signal the end for the regime.

Vladimir Putin orders five-hour daily ceasefires in eastern Ghouta

Vladimir Putin has ordered a daily five-hour “humanitarian pause” in the besieged Syrian enclave of eastern Ghouta, effectively replacing a United Nationssecurity council resolution that had demanded a month-long ceasefire in the embattled region.

The Russian president’s move, which was announced by his defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, highlighted in stark terms Russia’s primacy in Syrian affairs and the UN’s failure to impose an end to the fighting in the region bordering Damascus.

More than 500 people have been killed in eight days of one of the worst bombing campaigns of the seven-year war by the regime of Bashar al-Assad and his allies.

The deal came amid mounting condemnation of the violence, with the UN secretary general, António Guterres, describing the situation in Ghouta as “hell on earth”.

The trouble with China’s new found wealth and middle class is that they are not only eating every animal and fish in their own country

The trouble with China’s new found wealth and middle class is that they are not only eating every animal and fish in their own country, but they are sucking in and killing almost all species from all over the world to satisfy their insatiable lust. Donkeys in Africa have suddenly been turned into meat for the Chinese. We, of course, are losing everything – from seahorses, porcupines, dogs, sharks, tigers, rhinos, bears, every species of fish and wild cat and even insects.

The Chinese kill rare species simply for social prestige. Their local medicine is rubbish, but they continue to kill every animal for it. They use our rhino horns – which are just made of keratin, the same as our toenails – for everything, from headaches to cancer. Does that make sense? Likewise, shark fins are just lumps of flesh with no food value. But they have become a symbol of riches and so India loses millions of its sharks for this valueless soup. But, because their government has no laws and no intention of …

The headcount at major IT firms has shrunk for the first time in two decades

The headcount at major IT firms has shrunk for the first time in two decades, Mint reports. Power Minister launches portal, mobile app for fly ash utilisation

NEW DELHI: Power Minister R K Singh today launched a web-based monitoring system and a fly-ash mobile application which would act as an interface between producers and consumers.

These platforms will enable better management of the ash produced by thermal power plants by providing an interface between fly ash producers (thermal Power Plants) and potential ash users such as road contractors, cement plants etc.

Proper management of fly ash is important not only for the environment but for us also as the ash produced by power plants occupies a lot of land space, Singh said in his address.
At present, 63 per cent of the fly ash is being utilised and target is for 100 per cent utilisation, he said.

Road contractors and construction engineers need to know about the benefits of using fly ash in construction, the minister said.
