Trump wants to end birthright citizenship for children of non-citizens, unauthorised immigrants

US President Donald Trump plans to end the right to citizenship for the children of non-citizens and unauthorized immigrants born on US soil in what is arguably the most far-reaching move to staunch the growth of immigrant population in the United States reports Times of India.

"We're the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits," Mr Trump said to ‘Axios on HBO’, a documentary series, clips of which have been released. "It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. And it has to end,” he said.

It is factually incorrect that the U.S. is the only country in the world with birthright citizenship laws, although only a minority have such laws.

Statue of Unity: Modi's tribute to the great man who united India

The visage of the country's first deputy PM, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was fondly called the 'Iron man of India,' now stands clad in bronze in the shape of the world's tallest statue (182 metres, twice the height of the Statue of Liberty) built at a project cost of Rs 2,979 crore on Sadhu Beyt.  The statue, befitting Sardar's stature, is set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, Sardar's birth anniversary, with BJP setting the ball rolling for its 2019 Lok Sabha poll campaigns. The project website says that nearly 3 lakh soil samples were collected, along with 700 tonnes of iron in the form of donated farm equipment from across the country. Planning to Visit Germany, Here are few tips for you

The name for Germany in the German language is Deutschland. The population of Germany was around 82 million in 2010. The capital of Germany is Berlin, it is also the largest city. Other major cities include Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
Though it remains far less well known or understood by outsiders than some of its neighbours, since reunification Germany has at last gained a higher profile as a place to visit, thanks partly to the remarkable resurgence of Berlin, one of the most fascinating and exciting cities in Europe. But the appeal of the reunified Germany is not limited to the capital. The 2006 football World Cup was something of a turning point, both with regards to Germany’s image abroad and to its own self-image, rehabilitating the idea of German patriotism for the first time since the war.

Before it was called Germany, it was called Germania. In the years A.D. 900 until 1806, Germany was part of the Holy Roman Empire. From 1949 to 1990, Germanywas made…

Sri Lanka may be a better destination for Holiday

The distinctive civilization of Sri Lanka, with roots that can be traced back to the 6th century BCE, is characterized by two factors: the preservation of Theravada Buddhism (the orthodox school of Buddhism having its literary traditions in the Pali language) and the development over two millennia of a sophisticated system of irrigation in the drier parts of the country. This civilization was further enriched by the influences of Hinduism and Islam.

Looking for the next holiday destination? Forget India, it is the neighbouring island nation of Sri Lanka, which has emerged as the best country in the world to visit in 2019 by the Lonely Planet. How unsafe are Indian railway tracks ?

At least six lives are lost everyday to unnatural accidents on railway tracks and crossings. Times of India reports, quoting statistics from the National Crime Records Bureau, that railway accidents killed 26,000 persons and were the third-leading cause of avoidable deaths between 2004 and 2015. Recent data shows a spike — in the four years to 2018, 15 deaths were reported on railway tracks everyday, an RTI query shows.
