What the world can expect from this meeting ?

North Korea doesn’t have enough food, it lacks Facebook and Beyoncé, and its diplomats have to ration their use of computers in the Foreign Ministry because of electricity shortages.

But North Korea excels at choreography and theater, and its officials are well educated, very savvy, and agile with a pirouette. So we have peace breaking out on the Korean Peninsula — and President Trump gets some credit for that .As Kim Jong-un stepped into South Korea on Friday — the first North Korean leader to do so — let’s acknowledge that he has played a weak hand exceptionally well. Kim is now aiming to squirm out of sanctions, build up his economy and retain his nuclear arsenal, all while remaining a global focus of attention. It’s a remarkable performance.
South Korean conservative politicians criticized the joint statement issued by the leaders of the Koreas after their summit at a truce village, saying Seoul let Pyongyang off the hook by failing to secure a clear commitment to discarding its nuc…

Raghuram Rajan is in the race for the Bank of England’s top job

Raghuram Rajan is in the race for the Bank of England’s top job, according tothe Financial Times. “Attracting Rajan, the highly respected Chicago-based economist and former Reserve Bank of India governor, would be a coup,” the newspaper writes. Asaram Bapu: Controversial India guru convicted of teen devotee rape

The judge read out the verdict against Asaram Bapu inside a prison in the city of Jodhpur in the northwestern Rajasthan state. Heavy security was deployed in the region to prevent possible violent attacks by Bapu's followers.

The 77-year-old self-styled spiritual guru was convicted for raping a 16-year-old devotee in 2013 at his Utsav Bains ashram (spiritual center).

Bapu faces a maximum punishment of life in prison for the crime, the victim's lawyer told Indian media on Wednesday.

Judge Madhusudhan Sharma will announce the prison term after hearing arguments from the prosecution and Bapu's lawyers.

The case is the latest involving high-profile gurus who have been jailed for sexually abusing their female devotees. In August last year, flamboyant Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim was sentenced to 20 years in jail on charges of raping two women. Rahim's supporters took to the streets following the verdict, clashing with police and setting public property on fire.

Ambedkar's Faith in 'Bharat'

Ambedkar had faith in ancient Indian institutions and texts except caste. He was convinced with the spiritual aspect of Indian texts and codes but not with its ritualistic aspects which had developed in last 1200 years. He talked about annihilation of Caste and not Dharma. He understood the importance of Dharma in India and when the time of conversion came as he had declared earlier, he chose Buddhism.Dr. Ambedkar pointed out that historic roots of democracy in India go back to pre-Buddhist India. A study of the Buddhist Bhikshu Sanghas discloses that the Sanghas were nothing but Parliaments and knew all the rules of Parliamentary procedure known to modern times. Although these rules of Parliamentary procedure were applied by the Buddha to the meetings of the Sanghas, he must have borrowed them from the rules of the political assemblies functioning in the country in his time.

Dr. Ambedkar emphasized that Hindus need not 'borrow from foreign sources' concepts to build a societ…
