You should know what you will get when you eat the fish from commercial fish production.

Parasites like sea lice, viruses, heavy metal, chemicals, antibiotic residues and antibiotic-resistant bacteria are some of the gifts that you get for free when you eat farmed fish.

In a typical aquaculture facility, fish eggs are raised in a hatchery. The young fish are then transferred to inland ponds, or sections of the sea separated from the main body by nets.

To increase the production and profits, the density of fish in these enclosures is kept very high – in fact, the owners keep stuffing fish in till they start dying off. 10% death is acceptable. It is only when the die off increases beyond 30% then stocking stops. These fish are so crowded that they resemble the chickens in poultries that cannot move their wings and sit huddled on A4 paper sizes of cage till they are killed. A 2.5-foot-long salmon is given 4 feet of water for its entire life – these fish normally swim hundreds of miles in o…

Is Karni Sena above supreme court and Indian Government ?

The Karni Sena has announced a Bharat Bandh on January 25th and threatens to burn multiplexes that screen the movie Padmaavat. The film is visually stunning & has great performances. It is more about Khilji, his sexuality & his obsessions. The actual history cannot be distorted especially when you are dealing with a historical topic like that of queen Padmavati and Jauhar. The mental and emotional turmoil that these women must have gone through isn’t a topic which can be depicted in the right way through a commercial Bollywood cinema. Bhansali said that he has made the movie based on Padmavat, written by Khilji’s court poet, in which there is a dream sequence. The movie release is objected by VHP and Karni Sena both . The question is that Indian government is capable of maintaining law and order or not. The reviews have been given by so many well known and reputed news channels and journalists including CNN News, Rajat Sharma and Arnab Goswami and all of them are nearly say…

Who is Vatal Nagaraj ? The man who called Karnataka band on Jan 25 prior to Modi's visit

Kannada organisations on Wednesday extended their support to the Karnataka bandh called on January 25, demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervene to find a solution to the Mahadayi issue.

Speaking to reporters, Vatal Nagaraj of Kannada Okkuta said all Kannada organisations, the Kannada filmdom, hotel owners and educational institutions should support the bundh. Goa Irrigation Minister Vinod Palyekar should apologise for his derogatory comments against Kannadigas, he added.

This was about 4 decades back…..he conceived Kannada Chaluvali (Kannada Campaign) and started a party called Kannada Chaluvali Paksha. He was MLA from this party…

He is one person in Karnataka who surfaces whereever or whenever Kannada stakes are involved. At the same time he never hobnobbed with mainstream parties, never sought power, nor got into any communal…

Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri has been transferred just weeks before Mahamastakabhisheka celebrations in the district.

Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri has been transferred just weeks before Mahamastakabhisheka celebrations in the district.

Sindhuri was overseeing arrangements for the upcoming celebrations at Shravanabelegola and the news of her transfer elicited a strong reaction from leaders of BJP and JD(S). She had taken over as DC of Hassan in July 2017 and becomes the latest civil officer to be transferred in less than a year’s time of duty in the state.

The Mahamastakabhisheka is an important Jain festival held once in twelve years at Shravanabelegola in Hassan district. It is set to take place from February 17-21. The BJP has alleged that the transfer has happened due to disagreements between the officer and the Chief Minister's office over the festival.

BJP State President, BS Yeddyurappa, called the transfer unceremonious and said that there was no place for honest offers in the Siddaramaiah government
